πŸŒ… Episode 16 – The Sea That Remembers

(Finale – The Lighthouse Keeper’s Promise)

πŸ“–  2025

The lighthouse has become a heritage site — its walls restored, its story retold by every traveler who steps onto the rocky cliffs of Cullen Bay.

A young tourist couple asked me once, “Do you believe the legend?”

I smiled. “Which one?”

“The one about the keeper who never left the sea,” they said. “And the nurse who wrote his story.”

I just nodded. “Some legends are true — not because they happened, but because love made them last.”

That night, I stayed behind after everyone left. The sky was clear, the sea calm as glass. I climbed the spiral stairs to the lantern room, where the new light glowed — solar-powered now, steady and bright.

But as I stood there, I saw something through the glass: two faint silhouettes, standing together by the cliff — a man holding a lantern, a woman in white beside him.

They faced the horizon as the tide shimmered in silver.

A breeze swept through, and I heard it — a whisper carried by the waves:

 “Keep the light burning.”

The air turned still. Only the rhythmic sound of waves remained — eternal, gentle, alive.

And as I looked out to the endless sea, I realized — it remembers.

Every promise. Every goodbye. Every love that never left.

The lighthouse stands, not just as a beacon for lost ships…

but for the hearts that once found home in its light.
