πŸŒ… The Lighthouse Keeper's Promise Episode 14 – The Light Remains

πŸŒ… Episode 14 – The Light Remains

πŸ“–  Months have passed since the storm.

The sea has quieted, though the waves still hum with a low, eternal sound — like a heartbeat echoing through time. I returned to the lighthouse one last time, carrying flowers and Elliot’s old lantern.

The air smelled of salt and memory. Dust had settled on his desk, but the logbook was still there, open to the last page he wrote:

> “The light must never go out, even if the keeper is gone.”

I smiled through tears. That was Elliot — steadfast, loyal, bound to duty and love even beyond the living.

I stepped outside to the balcony. The wind was gentle, the horizon painted in orange and gold. For the first time, I didn’t feel haunted. I felt watched over.

Somewhere beneath those calm waves rests a man who kept his promise, and a woman who never stopped waiting.

I placed the lantern atop the railing and lit it one last time. The flame flickered softly — a single light against the vastness of the sea.

And as I walked away, I whispered:

> “The light remains… and so does love.”
