When my father died, the world grew darker. My mother wept silently at night, and all I could do was hold my hunger and pretend I was strong.


But his death did not break me. It set me on fire.

The boy who once walked barefoot now carried a new weight — not just poverty, but the need to honor his father’s memory.


I worked harder. I studied by candlelight when others slept. And even when mocked, I whispered to myself: This pain will not last forever.


That burning dream, that fire, was all I 

had left.
